Bio

I began dancing as a young child. Beginning with Ballet at the Joffrey Ballet school and Elliot Feld,  I then continued to study professionally with the Alvin Ailey American Dance school and LaGuardia HS of Performing Arts.  I also grew up in Paris, spending every summer there, speaking fluent French and studying at Centre De Danse Du Marais.  I performed professionally throughout the NYC area, nationally and internationally.  I received my BFA from NYU Tisch, and a MA from NYU'S Dance Education Program which also focused on Choreography.

As with many dancers, I began to suffer from chronic knee pain.  It was at this point I found Power Pilates and began training with Susan Moran.  Immediately feeling empowered by the wonderful strength Pilates was bringing to my body and performance as a dancer, I found I was also cured of any knee pain.

Realizing how much I enjoyed the form, I went through the Power Pilates Certification Program in both Mat and Apparatus in 2000 with Susan Moran,  Pheobe Higgins, and Peter Roel.  In May of 2000 I joined Power Pilates as an instructor and stayed with the studio until April of 2013.

Alongside working at the Power Pilates Studio, I continued to dance and choreograph as well as build my own Pilates Mat service.  Providing door to door private Pilates sessions, and group classes to clients.  I have taught artists and celebrities such as Mos Def and Dan Zanes.  Since I have become a mother of two, I have stuck with my Pilates practice as well as teaching throughout both pregnancies.

I train people of all ages, with different body issues, paying special attention to everyone’s individual needs, including pregnancies and post pregnancy.   I currently teach my Classical Mat class out of my own Studio in Soho, including Private Reformer sessions, as well as teaching private and group classes to clients in home and via Zoom.
